Shane Lye
DIRECTOR, BUILDER, GENERAL MANAGER
Shane is a member of the Registered Master Builders Executive team.
A qualified builder, Shane has over 20 years industry experience, including time managing franchise group housing companies. Shane maintains close contact with you throughout the process, and constant communication while your home is being built.
Shane enjoys competing in triathlons and spending time with his family.

Jo-anna Van-Lye
director, new homes CONSULTANT
Jo-anna has been part of the GenX team for 10 years, with a passion for style and design, and a focus on effective communication and attention to detail, Jo-anna will ensure your GenX building experience will be a positive and rewarding one.
Her role also involves co-ordinating the various consultations required for our clients to choose their colour and products selections (covering everything from external cladding, roof, joinery and doors, to internal wall colours, flooring, bathroomware, window coverings and kitchen configuration).
Jo-anna loves having a hand in helping clients create a style and ambience that they love, whether it be a new design-build or renovation.

Karl Cockroft
PROJECT MANAGER
Karl is a Licensed Building Practitioner and has worked in the building industry for 27 years including a 5 year stint commercial building in the UK.
Since moving to the Bay in 2006, Karl has worked in residential building, with his current role encompassing all aspects of project management including constant liaison between clients, contractors and suppliers.
Karl is an integral part of the GenX team.

Logan Jensen
sales manager
Logan is a born and bred Te Puke local who has returned to the Bay after 27 years of corporate life spent in executive sales roles in Wellington.
He has had a lifelong interest in residential building and recently completed a major renovation of his 3-story architectural home in Khandallah, Wellington prior to relocating back to the Bay.
After purchasing our 2022 award-winning showhome, Logan joined the Gen X Homes team as our sales manager which has enabled his dream of working in the building industry.
Logan's years of consulting together with his exceptional professionalism have been invaluable when working with clients to create their dream home or renovation.

Dave Olsen

Dave was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado and relocated to Taupo 9 years ago with his wife, who is a Taupo Local. He owned and operated his own real estate finance business for 17 years in Colorado and has continued his passion for the real estate business here in New Zealand.
For more than 5 years he has been helping people create their dream home with over 85 homes designed and handed over to happy customers to date. He has a keen understanding and passion for design and functionality paired with an extensive financial background. These are the key traits required to bring your dream to life whilst keeping to your budget.
Dave takes great pride in listening, offering honest information and keeping promises. These, along with his years of experience, are the reasons for his continued success.
